The purpose of these pages are to educate and empower community ministers to successfully bridge the gap between the granting of preliminary and final fellowship. Given that creativity is a hallmark of community ministry, it is not possible to offer a blueprint that every community minister must follow to advance toward final fellowship. This guide is intended to address the requirements with the suggestion of which order these steps might occur.

UUA Internship Clearinghouse

The Internship Clearinghouse serves ministerial candidates and internship sites. Under the supervision of the Director of Ministerial Credentialing, the Clearinghouse's coordinator works with:
Prospective interns in finding, designing, and completing internships. To this end, the coordinator maintains a database of available UUA Teaching Congregations and is available to answer questions, provide information, and assist prospective interns in creating a high-quality internship experience.
Congregations in developing new internship sites, finding interns, and strengthening existing programs. The coordinator works with supervisors, intern committees, and governing boards about issues that may arise during an internship. The Internship Clearinghouse also administers the internship stipend grant program which provides matching funds for new internship sites.
